NEW DATE!!
Riders will travel through the
beautiful and historic countryside of southern middle Tennessee.
Rides of 19, 36, 66,and 100 miles will be offered and will see
mostly lightly travelled roads. The 100, 66, and 36 mile routes will
ride through one of the largest Old Order Amish settlements in the
South in Ethridge. The 100 and 66 mile routes will stop in the
historic town of Lynnville, with its restored shops and railroad
artifacts. The 100 mile route will pass by the Milky Way Farm, which
was built in 1930 by Frank C. Mars, founder of Mars Candy Co.
Although Mr. Mars died in 1934 the farm went on to become a major
breeder of race horses, and its horse Galladion won the 1940
Kentucky Derby. The original home and several of the stone barns
have been restored.
