Changes for 2024

For 2024, the Chickasaw Trace Classic MTB race will be held on October 13, 2024. This is normally the time when the CCC conducts the Scarecrow Century, and for 2024, the Century will be skipped. With this change, we are hopeful to capitalize on NICA’s peak season, reduced rain chances, and an opportunity to be chosen for the TBRA state championship.

Classic 2023 course

The Chickasaw Trace Classic will have a different start and finish for 2023 due to the landfill reclamation, but it is a repeat from about 12 years ago. The starting stretch will take a temporary path in the field next to the RC Airfield and will enter the trail at Rick’s Trail. The finish will exit the trails just before Rick’s Trail and return on the dirt road.

Jailbreak Course shortened for 2022 event due to landfill closing activities

The altered course measures 6.25-miles. Just before the caterpillar bridge, cyclists climb up towards Puckered Up, but then take a right to exit out of the woods. Follow an open field trail used by the NICA kids, pass by the RC Airport, continue onto and around the yard of the cabin at the front of the park, cross the road and take the dirt road down to MTB Trailhead.
