The Columbia Cycling Club (CCC) was founded in 1992 with the purpose of promoting mobility, health, and enjoyment through cycling and cycling-related activities in the areas of touring, racing, and commuting, in addition to supporting state, regional, and national organizations. The club also supports other forms of exercise such as running, swimming and triathlons.

MOUNTAIN BIKE Team

The CCC started and supports the “Columbia Composite” team as member of the Tennessee NICA organization. http://www.tennesseemtb.org It is open to all area boys and girls from any school or home school in grades 6th through 12th. Practices start in July. Contact Kyle at Trek Bicycle Store Columbia for current information.

Group Rides

We believe that riding in groups is safer and more fun than riding alone. Vehicle drivers have more respect for multiple bicyclists than single cyclists. Drafting allows riders of varying abilities to stay together. We have a rule that we do not leave anyone behind. We maintain regularly scheduled weekly rides. Supplemental insurance accompanies members who participate in group rides.

Races and Tour

We conduct five races and a “tour” each year to encourage the community to exercise with a goal. We draw on volunteers to help with this mission and hope that you will give a little of yourself in this effort.
